Hi Nick will have a wonder down after work, I remember the old camera club as you say when I walked in, I was the only one there,lol
It will be a welcome change to have a decent club up and running and on my doorstep, any help you need let me know.

Hi,
my name is Ian Walshaw, otherwise known as Malinois (Mal in Waa). I am the great big giant bloke who turns up at the meetings and goes on about mushrooms Smile

Anyway, i also have another passion as well as photography. Its kites! affraid

I kite buggy, kite board and kitesurf.

Heres a vid me and the lads made at Fraisthorpe Beach ( south bridlington) Im in it in the buggy, then on the board.

LOL Ian, its not about the size of the kite, its about the strength of the wind! We could have you off the ground dead easy! 15mph wind, 18metre kite cheers

The lads i know, if we ever want some top shots of them, lemme know, we lay on a bank, and they float over us, i got tons of shots, even some published ones, but i havent posted them anywhere, so i cant share them on here........Yet!

Ive been a photographer for 8 years, im 27 and mainly have done commercial and music photography but am starting to get into more studio work and model work, id love to learn more in this field which is why the techniques and discussions on here and at Castleford will help me develop and meet some wicked people

Regarding the times - yes we open the doors at 6 fo people to mingle and chat but the club meeting doesn't start until 7 so that people like yourself have enough time to get there....
