A few people at the club showed great interest on an idea i had.

Idea is to rent a good size unit to use as a studio. Ideally on a ground floor with double doors to allow cars/motorcycles into the studio.
The location will be in Castleford or surrounding as the rents are cheap here and lots of properties are available.

Im quite happy putting all my lighting, both studio flash and tungsten in the studio, and im sure others involved will do the same.

We need as many people interested in this to put their names down, as the more people involved, the cheaper the rent will be per head.

Everone involved will get a key, and there will be a diary as you walk in to pre book the studio for your own projects.

We hope that within 6 months the studio will become self funding by hiring it out to other photographers/clubs on an hourly basis.

Im awaiting a few replies from property owners.

I know there was around 6 interested people from our club. Obvously, we need the rent per person to be as low as possible, as we will have other bills to share also.

If your seriously interested in, and are capable of contributing towards the rent/bills/running costs, then post it here or let me know.

I know everyone will want to know 'how much', but i was hoping to get it to £10 per week or less per person.

Ive been considering doing this alone for some time, but i would actually only use the studio for a couple of hours per week, so this seemed to be an ideal solution for everyone wanting their own studio at minmal outlay.

Dave Massen (davemassen on NM) but was unable to access our forum to reply.

I cant do a lot as it seems everywhere is closed until after the new year! But i did recieve an email with 2 empty (suitable) properties that are local.
I know 2 members would like vehicle access into the studio, and both the units below have. the first smaller unit has motorcycle access, the second larger has car access.
I couldnt get inside as yet! But i will when the park re-opens.
